I like St. Patrick School because of the nice teachers and staff, and because it is a smaller school. St. Pat’s is also great because we get to go to mass every Tuesday, which means I get to go twice a week! I have made so many friends here that I never want to leave.

I like St. Patrick School because it has good students, wonderful teachers, and a kind and loving principal. We also get to go to church on Tuesday, which is very special!
- Audrey Thomsen, Grade 2
I like St. Patrick School because it has amazing teachers that give you the level of attention you need. I really love how we still get recess and also get to do fun projects. I especially enjoy going to church and learning about God!

After teaching in public schools for 39 years, I spent 5 years teaching reading at St. Patrick School. One advantage to attending St. Pat’s is the constant exposure to reading, speaking, and performing in front of the entire student body. From the time students are in second grade, students participate in weekly masses and other religious activities. Students read the mass introduction, the petitions, and the gospel readings from a podium in front of church. Students become song leaders and prayer leaders. I found even shy students eventually chose to participate and their confidence grew with each new experience. Being able to speak in front of a large group is an invaluable skill.

I am forever grateful to have been able to send my son to St. Patrick School. I initially thought that since I wasn’t Catholic, my son wouldn’t be able to attend, but I was quickly proven wrong. Small class sizes, high expectations for behavior, and the opportunity to learn at an accelerated pace were very attractive aspects of the school. The opportunity for students to gain confidence in speaking and singing in front of a large congregation happened weekly at mass. One aspect that stood out most is the level of respect and care students had for one another. Students treated each other like family, from Pre-K through 6th grade, and I see those bonds continue throughout high school. As a parent, I had many opportunities to volunteer and be involved in my child’s education. St. Patrick School created a win-win atmosphere for everyone involved.
- Lisa McQuillen Family, former student of St. Patrick School
St. Patrick is a great school that offers opportunities to learn leadership skills, be part of a community, and grow in one’s faith. Small class sizes encourage in-depth learning and allow for individualized attention. St Patrick provided the foundation that made our educational journey successful all the way through college. We are truly grateful!
